  • What rentals are at the retreat and how many people can stay in each place?

  • What amenities are offered in the rentals?
    Please refer to the listing for the destination reserved. Also, reading the listing description and looking at the pictures can help is knowing the offerings.
  • Do any of the rentals accommodate more than 2 people?

  • Is there A/C and or heat?
    All of the retreat destination rentals have air conditioning and heat.
  • Is there indoor plumbing?
    Yes, of course, there is running water, showers, hot water, safe drinking water and toilets.
  • Is the water safe to drink?
    The drinking water is safe. It is from rural water District #12. The water is not well water.
  • Are any rentals wheelchair accessible?
    At this time, there are not any rentals that are wheelchair accessible. The retreat does have plans for building a wheelchair accessible destination in the future.
  • Can I stop by without a reservation to look around?
    No. The retreat is kept as a private destination for guests having reservations. People driving or walking onto the property without permission are trespassing. Even in the off-season, coming onto the property without permission is trespassing.
  • Are pets allowed?
    No. We do not accept pets, even well behaved pets. No pets. If guests show up with a pet they will be asked to leave and no refund given. If a pet is discovered as entering a unit, a professional service fee will be applied to the guest account. We do follow ADA guidelines regarding Service Animals. Emotional support animals do not qualify as a service animal. Guest agrees to notify us if bringing a qualified-under-ADA guideline service animal. If a service animal is disruptive to the peaceful setting of the retreat, guests will be asked to leave. Any service animal on the grounds not on a leash, will cause guests to immediately be asked to leave and no refund given. All service animal waste must be picked up and placed in the trash can outside.
  • Are children allowed?
    The retreat is an adult only destination. It is intended as a peaceful destination of renewal and/or a romantic getaway. If a guest brings infants, or children with them, they will be asked to leave and no refund given.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Although we hope cancellations are never needed, please note the following cancellation policy that is agreed to at the time of booking. Please refer to the reservation details in your reservation confirmation. For reservations made after June 4, 2022: Full refund is offered if stay is cancelled 5 days prior to check in. If reservation is cancelled within the 5 day cancellation period but more than 1 day before check-in, a 50% refund will be issued. Any cancellations under 1 day are non-refundable. EXCEPTION: IF we are able to promote and rebook the dates, a refund will be given once the rebooked reservation holds minus a $50 service fee. All cancellation requests must be made via email using the same email address as used in the reservation information.   • Is there a café/restaurant at the retreat?
    There is not a café or food offered at the retreat. Each rental has its own mini kitchen. Guests are encouraged to dine out or bring in their own food.
  • What about the weather?
    The retreat is located in Kansas and is open March – the end of November. We can have multiple seasons all in a single day. We can’t predict the weather! Make sure to look at the forecast before coming.
  • Can I buy flowers to have in the rental as a surprise?
    Yes, you may order flowers from Leavenworth Floral and Gifts and request they call to arrange a delivery time. (913) 682-2022 leavenworthfloral.net
  • What suggestions are there for restaurants?
    We offer our local favorites in the reservation confirmation information as well as under the favorites tab on the website.
  • What are some nearby places to sightsee?
    Please see our favorites page.
  • Can we have professional photographs taken during our stay?
    This depends upon the request. Please email the details of the request for our review.
  • Can unregistered guests join us for dinner/visit/ park on site and we go elsewhere?
    No, The grounds and retreat are reserved for registered guests only.
  • May we bring more than 1 automobile, an RV, a semi or a motorcycle?
    Guests are allowed up to 2 vehicles per unit.. Unfortunately the retreat grounds are not capable of accommodating any RVs or Semis. Motorcycles are welcome if they are not loud and disruptive to the peaceful setting.
  • Can you make special accommodations for…???
    Ask before booking. We have tried to be detailed in our listing descriptions and expectations.
  • Hot Tub
    Semi-private Hot tub for up to four adults. The hot tub is a shared amenity and times can be reserved for private use upon arrival.
  • How to check rental availability?
    To check availability, click on the “Booking” tab on the website upper right drop down menu. Hiddenvalleywilderness.com Next, click on each rental, or the link that says, “click her to check availability. Use the < arrow> to move forward or backward to check open dates. Open dates have a reservation price on the date. Unavailable dates have X. There is a 2 day booking minimum unless there is a single dangling date on the booking calendar. The single date will automatically open for booking. Make sure to enter 1 single day in the date range field when filling out the reservation information. The calendars default to 2 days.
  • How much is a stay?
    The cost of a stay varies between destination selected, day of the week, and season. Weekdays cost less than weekends. Early spring and late fall are considered off season. The availability calendars show each day’s booking fee. Additional taxes will be applied.
  • Do you offer gift certificates?
    Gift Certificates can be purchased only by clicking here Gift certificates are emailed promptly after purchase We do not recommend gift certificates for specific destinations. This allows recipients to select their own preferred destination and time of availability on the booking calendars to match their schedules. Gift certificates are offered in dollar amounts to be applied towards a stay of their choice based on their schedule. The gift certificate does not expire or have dormancy fees. The gift certificate does not have any cash value. Excess amounts of a gift certificate will be reissued on a gift certificate for a future stay. Gift certificates are non-refundable. Gift certificates require a recipient (can be you or someone else). The recipient can apply the gift certificate to a room reservation either online or by calling the property. Gift Certificate value never expires and can be purchased in $100 increments. They can be applied to any destination. Please note, there is a 2 day minimum at the retreat unless a single dangling day remains on the calendar. Gift recipients may select from a single available day or apply a gift certificate to a 2 day stay.
  • Can I only book a single day?
